This full day whitewater adventure expands on our popular half day Truckee River Boca-Floriston run. Just outside of Truckee, CA, our full day Truckee River trip begins at the historical Boca townsite. Meandering boulder gardens, inviting swimming holes and surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains create a perfect setting to indulge in. Floating down stream from Boca the whitewater increases coming to a climactic point in the class III+ Floriston Gorge. Our half day Truckee River trip ends here, however our full day continues downstream where more whitewater and scenery await. Many more technical class II and III+ rapids challenge the adventurous for the next 10 miles. Large diversion dams act as bobsled luges as the boats careen down with an exciting splashy finish. Lunch is prepared under large shady pines as the western Nevada dessert comes flourishing into view. This class III+ adventure is the closest full-day trip to Lake Tahoe/Reno and perfect for those visiting the area. This trip only runs during spring and during high water seasons so be sure to plan in advance.
